Have any other Shadow Specced Priests noticed that sometimes Sprit Tap simply stops appearing? I was doing the venture mining quest in a group in STV and my priest is only level 37 so I was getting XP from each kill. I have 5 points in spirit tap so 100% chance of getting it - for about 10 minutes at least I didn't get it at all even though with 5 of us and the way they can swarm you we were chewing through them fairly fast. There was another priest (35 I think) in the group for whom it was working fine.

If you check up on the spell, you will see that you have to deal the killing blow to proc spirit tap. Only one person can do this, so if the other priest aims for the killing blow, chance you get the proc is quite small...

Possibly I was just unlucky and didn't get any killing blows in for ages
but I would be surprised because I was being fairly offensive other
than shielding the warrior as we had the other priest and a druid so
not a lot of time spent healing...
Doesn't matter how much dmg you dish out. You just have to have the killing blow for it to proc.
