Fishigng Question - Where'd the Squid Go?

Now that it's almost winter in the US, the winter squid have been seen again
in some high level fishing spots. I caught 40-50 of them in Steamwheedle
last week. All of a sudden, they've just disappeared again - NO squid in
the last approximately 60 minutes of fishing over 2 days. I tend to fish at
night - like 2 AM Pacific time. In fact, I've caught about 13 stonescale
eel in the time since my last squid. Anyone else notice this?
