The formula used to work like this:

Weapon Damage + (Power Bonus * Weapon speed)

The new formula is

Weapon Damage + (Power Bonus * Weapon TYPE (1.7, 2.4 or 3.3))

Under the old system, if you had, say, a blue quality dagger that did 50-75
damage with a speed of say 1.8.. and lets say a power bonus of 100 just to
make this easy...

50 + (100 * 1.8) = 230

Now Joe lucky gets an EPIC (purple) dagger that is 75-100 damage at speed
1.5. You would EXPECT more damage right?

75 + (100 * 1.5) = 225

Opps, hold the phone there Huston, we have a problem! The epic dagger did
less damage then the SLOWER LESS DAMAGE blue item, ouch, that's deceptive at
best, and just plain wrong at worst.

Check out those two daggers under the new system

Blue: 50 + (100 * 1.7) = 220
Purple: 75 + (100 * 1.7) = 245

Now that's more like it! This change is a good thing for people who really
know what they are talking about.

Your goal is now the same as it was before, get the highest speed dagger
that does the most damage, and you will get the output you should have had
all along.
