Missing Bag in Bank

I now have two characters that are each missing a bag in the bank, and
all the items appeared in my main inventory. I submitted a GM ticket
and the response was to empty the bag somewhere else in my inventory
and then sell the bag to a vendor and buy it back. Then the bag will
be bug-free. Should I refer them back to my original GM ticket
wherein I stated the bag is gone? How does one vendor an item that is
no longer there? I would like to know because when I find out, all my
characters are going to be rich...
