yeah, I never said it doesnt hit druids, but I believe warriors get a

I guess you mean block - dodge is not something class dependant.
high stamina is nessecary. Now
warriors get high sta by default, since many of their pieces have it
anyway. So far, we had to sacrifice +sta for +def items, but since +def
items are becoming *relatively* useless, we can now use high armor +sta
items for better bear tanking.
Why are "+def items becoming useless"? A high defense skill is crucial
for tanking, and after the patch, I'll have to use even more crappy green
items to keep my 375 defense up (which isn't even very high).
The need for a certain amount of defense won't decrease with the patch.
But the amount of defense per item will decrease. So the number of items
with +Def someone needs to keep up a decent defense skill will increase
too. For warriors, that's no big deal: There's enough blue/purple plate
stuff with +defense. For druids, it's a shock. If I want more defense
I have to use more green crap items.

300 armor on a leather item is insanely good :)
Armor is about the last thing I worry about. I've got about 8.2k
unbuffed armor in tanking gear. Once I've levelled my enchanting
to 265 for the trinket, and got the ring from that quest series
in PL, I'll easy have 10k armor. And the increase of damage
reduction from 8k to 10k is something like 5%. After 10k, armor
is just irrelevant.
Now, if we could get a proper feral set...
And if only cows could fly :o)
