It's a pity you can't skin them, isn't it?
Chris *harg* *harg*
hmm, I gave up skinning for herbalism, I thought it would help gathering morrowgrain.
It will definately help. You can get larger stacks of Morrowgrain on average, when you roll Morrowgrain. And the trash herbs you pull out will be of a higher quality, I think, so you'll make more money selling them off. (More money to keep buying dirt on the AH)
I'm half way into honoured with thunder bluff now with my orc hunter (Orgrimmar and UC are still friendly at level 37). I think I'll need a bunch of runecloth... :'(
Morrowgrain returns get *very* crappy at about level 57, when the quest turns grey. My first hundred stacks of Morrowgrain I was getting 25 rep per completion. At 60, that fell to 5 rep per completion. Runecloth is 50 rep per stack, all the way to 60. (But you're still talking about a lowbie hunter, so this doesn't become important until much later).
Brian
Thanks for the advice, actually it is important already, because my main (60 priest) is doing the runecloth/morrowgrain gathering at the moment while my hunter is resting.
I've already saved about 12 runecloth stacks and 10 morrowgrain. I'll just stop transmuting soils ;)
Also, I envision gaining at least a couple levels from turning runecloth only when I open the quest with my hunter :P
My big concern is gold for my main. I've put quite a lot of stuff up the AH this morning... and I'm back to 60 silver. Unless people go buy-crazy, I'll be completely broke.
(btw, completely off topic, Chris, does your druid need a +14 def cloak?) .
