I received My Fanatec GT2 on the 22nd and it's was worth every penny.
It has a more weighted and authentic feel to it over the 911 S. It
even feels better on Forza 3. Now I am torn between GT5 and Forza 3 as
far as my gaming time goes. I am head off to play both right now.

Oh, you lucky prick. I hate you.

Did you order the Clubsport edition?

Yes. I have two complete setups of Clubsports now. One with the GT2
and one with the 911 S.

Did your GT2 come with the shifter? Because some people have received
it without a shifter, presumably to be shipped at a later date.

I am thinking about purchasing the new

Thrustmaster T500 RS but if it's true that it only works for the PS3 I
might pass and pick up another GT2.

My biggest concern about the T500RS is that there are reports the
shifter won't be available until early Fall.

The GT2 feels so much better than

the 911 S. Forza 3 feels like a completely different game now. I
bailed on GT5 and can't stop playing Forza 3 now. If I pick up a 3D
display tonight that might change.

GT5 is stunning in 3D, especially the premium cockpit views. Alas, I
have no wheel atm, and can't play it.

I did not receive the shifter either. They are suppose to ship any day
now. Armin said they would be back in stock this week or early next.
As soon as I receive a confirmation email about it I will post it
here.

Thanks that would be great, although I ordered on Dec 14 so I guess I
have to be patient. Did your Clubsport pedals arrive?

Some people have posted that the GT2 wheel clamp sucks, and it's
better to spring the extra $$$ to get the Clubsport wheel-clamp. What
are your thoughts?

I played GT5 at a friends house on his Sony LX900. GT5 looks
incredible in 3D but I cant fit a 52" display in my racing setup and
they don't make it in a 46" or I would definitely get that display.
It's supposedly the best 3D display on the market currently. The
Panasonic 3D VT25 is excellent as well but I'm to use to LCD and LED
ilumination to go with a dimmer plasma even though they give you
better blacks, more accurate color and quicker response. Usually less
input lag as well. <- That is where the fickled part comes in.

I feel 46" is the minimum for a proper 3D experience, and even then it
feels constricted.
The best game I've played 3D so far is CoD: BLOPS -- unbelievable
experience. GT5 is a close second. Anybody who thinks 3D gaming isn't
worth it, has never experienced.
