hmmm we'll see , I think it will outsell ODST easily without a doubt
The pre-order numbers are in the 1.6 mil range in the U.S. ending sept
4th and there's been an average 200k weekly change so add another 200k
to that 1.6 mil by release
Still considering the install base it is rather low at 1.6 mil

I also think it will outsell ODST as well, but I don't think it will have Halo 3 numbers, when considering the numbers between then and now.
I was really making comparison to Halo 3 since that was the measure the article was using. I threw ODST in there as an example of why it won't do as well and ODST still has decent week on week sales. The pre-order numbers for Reach are very good. Halo 3's pre-order figure was in the 2mil range and that was with actually (after checking back in time) the 360 then having an install base of about 12mil; think about that. ODST's preorder numbers were about 1.3mil. Consider the 360 install base was near 32mil at the time of ODST's release, yet ODST hasn't come close to touching Halo 3's sales when in 2007, the install base was about 1/3 of what it was at ODST's release.
