separately is immaterial, it is still part of the product.
inside the DVD case.
That's irrelevant when you're talking about a one-time use code.
My point is that they're marketing it as extra content when it isn't. The code isn't unlocking a free gift, it's unlocking part of the product.
Well, for example, the extra content I got for ME2 wasn't on the disc for use with a code. When I sued the code, it gave me a link to download from Bioware/EA those extras. In fact, the code I use for at least one of the items came from my purchase of Dragon Age amd it was downloaded as it wasn't past of some unlockable element already on the ME2 discs..
This is EA basically trying to squeeze money out of people, whether it's
fair or not is a matter of opinion. Take Shayle from DA and the Marc
chap fro ME2, both were blatantly developed as part of the original game
but deliberately marketed as "extra" content.
I'm not sure who you're referring to in either case, but I'm guessing
you mean Zaeed Massani in the case of Mass Effect 2. There's no reason
to assume that he was developed as part of the original game.
Apart from the fact that he is integrated seamlessly into the game,
Considering that he doesn't have the same interaction on the Normandy
as any of the other characters,
He seemed to have the same level of interaction as most of the other team members, you can chat to him, find out about his past, and perform his loyalty mission. Apart from Miranda the other's don't really do much more. There is also the fact that other team memerbs interact with him in conversations on missions.
SPOILER WARNING:
His level of interaction is much less than that of the other members. Other than his loyalty mission, you get nothing more out of him except the same exact comments reflecting on his trophies, etc when you visit him in his quarters and nothing changes with that as the game progresses like it does with the others. He also doesn't give upgrades.
> it's much more likely that at somepoint well into the development of the game they decided to create a
bonus character.
Note that there's another slot in the mirror opposite position of him
on the team select screen.
I take it you've not completed the game yet? This slot will be filled.
Not true, I am fairly certain you can finish the game without using that character as when you acquire that character
I'll rephrase. That slot can be filled at a later time by an in game character without the requirement to download any additional content. Either way, the point doesn't change.
