Wow gotta say I kinda had my eye on this but after hearing about 3
separate campaigns humans, alien, predator respectably and MP modes of 1
person randomly being a predator and Survival co-op mode ala Horde
mode.
This title is shaping up to be a feature packed game with lots of
content.

The MP modes have me most stoked about this game. Have there been any
other games with 3-way MP modes, with each team having unique
abilities? I can't think of one. This still isn't an instant buy for
me, sounds awesome, but poor execution could sink it. Either this or
Dantes Inferno i'm trading in Bayonetta to get.
The two PC AvP games had this feature... :-)
That's cool, I never did play that one. I have to say that I love the
idea of one person playing the Predator with his immense bag of tricks
against a whole team of humans or Aliens. If they execute the game
right, the possibilities are very enticing. Though having said that,
I'm not exactly impressed by the developer's (Rebellion) previous
lineup of games over the years. This will definitely be a wait and see
for the time being, but they peaked my interest so far, I'll give them
that.
Rebellion mostly does ports of games. The only one in their portfolio
you need to look at, however, is Aliens vs. Predator for the PC.
The team perfectly captured the feel of James Cameron's Aliens.
The Predator isn't bad but the Colonial Marine and the Alien work out
better. The Colonial Marine is pretty much your straight up FPS
character. No learning curve with him and the most straightforward
gameplay.
The Predator is like a pumped up FPS character... kind of. He can jump
higher and farther and has that bag of tricks you mentioned but
they're not unlimited. Every time he uses a weapon or his
invisibility, he drains energy that needs to be recharged. He also
sees in three different spectrums, each of which allows him to see one
type of creature (human, Alien or other Predator) to the near
exclusion of everything else. It's not the easiest to deal with.
The Alien is by far the least traditional. It's super fast and can
easily climb on walls as if they were floors. It can fall from any
height without fear of injury or death and has some quick instant kill
attacks... but only under certain circumstances. The Alien is the most
satisfying of the three.
Of course, this was all based off the game they made a decade ago. I'm
not sure how much of that is being carried over to this new game but I
imagine they're going to use a lot of it. Everything I've read so far
pretty much aligns with the old game.
