Are oldest (out of warranty) 360 STB yesterday and MW2 is stuck
inside. Does anyone know a way to get the disc out quick and safe with
out having to take apart the entire unit? I looked online and I am not
coming up with helpful information. I really just want to take a
sledge hammer to it and youtube the video. I am so frustrated with MS!
They were no help when I called.
The new N adapter from MS gets 100% connection any where in my home. I
thought this was going to be the best single perp MS made thus far.
Now it's just another in a long line of foul ups from them. I
disconnect from XBL no less then once per day and sometimes and much
as a dozen times (depending on how many hours I log on XBL). The weird
thing is every time I switch a game I disconnect from XBL. It most
happens during MW2 and thought maybe that was the issues but now I
disconnect constanty.
It's not the N adapter, it's your wireless router.
The same thing happened to me with my adapter (I have the original
one) and I fixed it by setting the DNS server information to static on
my router. You can clean up a lot of connection problems to XBL by
setting the addresses on the router to static and not letting them get
set by DHCP.
I am going to give MS a shout tomorrow to see if they can help me out
but that usually just leads to more frustration since they source out
their service calls to non English speaking countries.- Hide quoted text -

I'm not sure how to do this. I googled it an read all I could but now
information I found goes into specifics about setting the DNS to
static. I have the channel port forwarded and that isn't working. All
my other wireless connection work fine. I never lose connection with
them at all. I don't understand why it worked flawlessly for the first
couple days but then started losing connection. Maybe it's possible I
just have a bad adapter?- Hide quoted text -

I had a similar issue, although I think it's with the older wireless
adapter (I just got one as a Christmas present from a buddy who was
upgrading to a new wireless adapter). I was getting constantly
disconnected after playing a match in Halo 3. What I did was remove
the wire that goes from the antenna dongle thingy into the port, and
plug it back in, making sure that it wasn't twisted or kinked in any
weird fashion. I think I must've had it plugged in at a bad angle,
because everything worked okay after that. Give it a shot- I think
the cable used for the adapter is overly sensitive to its position (it
could be due to the heat from the 360 affecting the cable if it's
lying too close to the back vents.
