One of the local stores here put all games on sale for 20% so I
snagged the collectors version of Dragon Age. I should have picked up
Don't get me wrong, I like Bioware RPGs, but if you take the
stereotypical Bioware RPG and heartlessly rip out the life and soul
from it what you're left with is Dragon Age. I've put 2 hours into it
(which, admittedly, is not a lot) but I can't really think of a reason
to keep playing it. The story is hackneyed, the graphics are sub-par
for this generation (on par with very good Xbox 1 games, complete with
Halo 2 like stuttering during cut-scenes), the combat is weak and
uninspired, the voice acting is boring.
The more time I put into it the more I feel it's a waste of time.
Steer clear. I hope this is not indicative of the "New" Bioware under
Well, I am about 15 hours into DA and I say it is one awesome game. Yes, the graphics are not all that, but they're pretty good but itr is on a PC. I love the controls with the overhead view you don't have on the console versions. The story is pretty epic and I know I am not even a 1/4 way through it yet. I don't get your voice acting critique, it is pretty damn good and two hours is hardly enough time for this scope of a game to make judgment. Of course, there's no stuttering or load times issues on the PC I have as well.
