I don't see a portable Xbox anytime soon - certainly not within the
timeframe of even the next generation of console hardware. A portable
device that plays Xbox Live Arcade games and the like is certainly
within the realm of reason, though.

Yeah if anything it will be the Zune Hd, maybe you can play arcade
games, but it won't be up to the level of full blown portable.

I agree that at least for the near future Microsoft won't bother
trying to compete in a space where Nintendo so dominantly rules the
roost and Sony still has a decent product. It will be a lot tougher to
break in when specs don't necessarily matter.

I'm actually surprised that the Zune doesn't already play video games.
It seems like a no-brainer that the next iteration will be able to
play Arcade games to better compete with the likes of the iPod Touch.

I actually like the look of the 1st example in this video. It looks
like something I described in my minds eye awhile back.

Basically a controller hacked in 1/2 with a screen between it. The one

a device with two analog sticks.

yeah I think that's the biggest request I see on any forum discussing
the possible portable from Xbox camp, is the dual analogs. MS would be
wise to listen to voice of gamers and include at the very least dual
analogs.
