And often there are external forces at work, like perhaps a competitor
make a surprise announcement about a certain feature in an upcoming
game so now you need to add that feature to be competitive. Or
perhaps your game started out w/o the thought of Natal support (or
some other technology) because it didn't exist when you first designed
the game but now you need to implement that. So much can change over
the course of a couple years between the time development started and
the release date.
