Something that was remedied in COD:WAW, it made the game more realistic. The
enemies were certainly deadly, but at least when you finished the encounter,
it was over and you moved on. COD3 was probably the most difficult of the
series because of spawning and the time between checkpoints.

I noticed that. I was wondering, though, whether Infinity Ward would
keep this up or if we would see it back again in Modern Warfare 2...

I hope IW follows Treyarch in the gameplay of WAW. IMO, the campaign mode in WAW was the best of the CODs on the 360. Overall though, Modern Warfare takes first place.
