You're right it's illegal to modify hardware for the purpose
reproducing copyrighted materials and you can be prosecuted and your
hardware confiscated BY A COURT ORDER. That doesn't mean Microsoft
has the right to play policeman and judge and physically destroy your
hardware. If this kill switch does indeed break an efuse on the
motherboard then what's the difference between MS remotely breaking
your console compared to sending somebody out to your location with a
soldering tool or something to do it, would that seem right?
