Where's Doom or the first Wolfenstein? Those both gave birth to every
FPS on the planet.

You have to look at exactly who is the beneficiary of a game's
innovations. Halo is high on the list because it brought FPS games to
the mass market console gamers.

Didn't GoldenEye do just that?
