Hi Guys,
This has been driving me nuts amd I'm wondering if anyone has any other
ideas. This is for a friends xbox, personally I don't really think
wireless is as good as wired for gaming. He's trying to connect his
laptop and 360 wirelessly to a router and stream music or whatever from
his laptop to watch on his xbox.
Laptop IP address is 10.0.0.1
His laptop sees the xbox with an IP address of 10.0.0.2
Gateway is 10.0.0.138 which is the IP address of his Router (
If I plug an ethernet cable between the router and the laptop, I can
stream from the PC Wirelessly to the Xbox. Obviouly he doesnt want an
ethernet cable connected to his laptop when he moves it around.
It's like the router won't let the xbox see the computer unless its wired
to the router. Without it I can't get a connection, thats using the
Windows Media Center or just by going into Video or Music Library. Any
ideas what I would need to do to the router to allow the connection?
Hope that makes sense, thanks if anyone can help.
Dale
If I wanted to connect this modem/gateway to another wireless router to try
it, would I need a Crossover Cable? Maybe I could get around it that way.
Dale
