Iron Man - WTF?!!! No, seriously, WTF!

Picked up Iron Man on Blu-Ray today, got home, popped it in the player
and get this lovely circular blue glowing thing (presumably Stark's
chest power-source thing) and... nothing else. PS3 is unresponsive to
the controls, no movie, no menu, no nothing.

So I hop online to see if there's a system update I need... sure
enough, 2.43 dropped on the 17th and I start the download. 6% in I get
a "server cannot be reached" error and am disconnected.

So I re-confirm my network and internet settings and resume the
download. It's just now at 25% done, after which (based on the other
firmware downloads I've done) I'll have to install the update and re-
boot.

Remember when watching a movie was as simple as popping in a disc and
watching the damn movie? Yeah... looks like Blu-Ray fucks that up
too... I googled and found lots of other people are having trouble
too. One star reviews are hitting Amazon for the same reason.
