My six year old daughter was a 38 rank in Halo. She can kick some major can.
In close combat I have no hope against her, I typically have to go to the
longer range attacks to have any chance.

Have you noticed a lot of little kids, like under age 12, doing
extremely well on video games? I've noticed a few. Is this a general
phenomenon? What is the reason for this? Is it that they have better
natural abilities due to their age, or that they play a lot more?
It isn't just videogames, but all technology. Younger kids aren't afraid
to
figure out how to work the DVD player, make a Power Point presentation, or
what have you -- tasks that sometimes baffle the 50+ crowd. Perhaps part
of
the reason is that they aren't "scared" of technology, or that they come
to
it with minds like sponges rather than with preconceived notions of what
should and should not work.
