Oh please. Casual games are NOT going to kill the so-called hardcore
gaming market. They just aren't. Casual gamers just don't buy enough
games. Why do you think the Wii's attach rate is rather low? It's
because people are only play Wii Sports, and maybe buying a copy of Wii
Play to get the extra controller...but nothing else!

The numbers say otherwise bigtime. Consider the Wii now has 25 games that have sold over a million and 50 that have made it over 400k (that includes the million sellers also). While the attach rate is low, to say it is selling only the two game you list is far from the truth.

Consider this, the 360 with a year headstart, has 41 games over the million sales mark, I bet the Wii in its 2.5 years in the market (like the 360 is now) will pass that up hugely. It seems no matter what game they make, they sell, even considering many of those games don't get much replay. Consider also that the Wii now has more total software sales than the 360 (by over 5million copies) and has been for the past 4+ weeks outselling the 360 in software by huge numbers. Even in the week of the release of GTAIV, the Wii still had the higher software sales totals.

What's really a stinger though, is that the PS3 only has 14 games over the million mark, most are cross-platformers and it came out the same time the Wii did. Haze didn't help it out one iota.
