I read something awhile back that the 360 only upscales via VGA or HDMI
cables. Otherwise it only upscales to 480p through component. I could be
wrong but I could've sworn I saw it somewhere in a mag.

But you already have a PS3 ,so why does it matter ?

Me,personally I only use my 360 for games only and I have a separate
upscaler for DVD'S and my PS3 for Blu-Ray and gaming.
