What about a recycled old Xbox title with last-generation graphics and
tired online play? Tons of people bought Halo 3.
If that's what you call "last generation graphics" then either you're
in serious need of new glasses or your TV sucks. Halo 3 was a HUGE
step above Halo 2 in graphics. Just look at that opening jungle
sequence in Halo 3 vs. any outdoor scene in Halo 2. And Halo 3 did add
innovation to Halo 2's online play, with the theater and forge
features.
Seriously, I get tired of all this fashionable Halo 3 bashing. I
thought it was a great game, a worthy successor to 1 and 2, and a
great step forward in both graphics and features (particularly the
"theater" feature, which AFAIK, had never been done on a console
before). About the only thing I missed from 2 was playing as the
Arbitor with that cool camo armour of his.
