This is the first time we've seen actual hard numbers instead of
percentages, and yes, HD-DVD is getting handled, but Blu-Rays stand
alone sales are insignificant as well.

This is why I continue to say that it doesn't matter what happens in
the stand alone market. If the PS3 gets tanked as a game machine then
Blu-Ray is not going to be able to survive on selling 20K units per
week (80K per month.)

Let me put it in perspective for you... The PS3 sold the fewest game
machines in December, 800,000 units. It placed a distant 6th place out
of all the gaming hardware. It didn't even break a million units and
was the only game machine to not hit that mark.

Stand alone Blu-Ray machines sold 1/10th that amount.

What the PS3 fans don't get is that BOTH formats are failing. If one
survives the other it doesn't mean it "wins" anything.
