Tried them both and liked them both. Tron in particular (but then, I
remember this fondly back when there were actual arcades in the
80s). The demo allows you to play all 4 sections available and
plays as one would expect.
Omega 5 allows you to play through part of the first level
(which was no problem since it kicked my ass well before
I got to that point ^_^). Graphically fantastic, and
plays well. Would rather use a button to actually fire
instead of a trigger or stick, but I'll pick it up
in time. This is another game that states that the
HD is required (or the 512MB memcard). Dunno how well
that will play out with those who got Arcade consoles
(no HD and as I recall, a 256MB card). But for those
who have a HD, dl away!
I was hoping for more of a graphics overhaul with Tron. After going
through 4 or 5 rounds (16 to 20 mini-games) in the arcades on a
regular basis, back when this was in the arcades, it's hard for me to
get too excited over this again.
Omega 5 is a different story though. Considering how much I loved 2D
shooters on the Genesis and the Dreamcast (through imports with the
latter), this game was a no brainer for me. It seems like a polished
enough shooter from my limited time so far, and like most 2D shooters,
will likely require one to memorize all enemy paths in the game to
beat it.
