Ah, the irony: a reader sends us this screenshot of the Nintendo Wii News
channel admitting its own four-week "defeat" against the Sony PlayStation 3.
It's either that a) the channel editors feel they are not being paid enough,
b) that Nintendo doesn't give a damn about giving the losing side some
respite, c) nobody edits the channel or d) you are all a bunch of Apple Sony
fanboys.

Which of course unless you live in Japan means nothing. For a history
lesson see PC Engine. In America the PC Engine (dubbed TG16 here) did
horrible and was discontinued after a few years, in Japan it was a
huge hit and many many years of life and over a thousands titles
released in Japan (less than fifty titles released in the US). Had you
bought a TurboGrafx 16 based on the products success in the Japanese
market you would have paid the price and you would have been wrong.
The same is true now with the PS3. It may be 2nd place system in
Japan, but that's Japan and region codes and import fees make it a
wise choice to look to your local market.

For a history lesson see PS1 and PS2

My local market doesn't make consoles, but since our economy is very strong here, we buy anything and everything we want ;)
