Again, if you want for me to embarrass you beyond belief, let me know, and
I'll show where you started threads in the PS groups for the sole purpose of
posting bad news, with also crossposting them to the xbox groups, knowing
the replies would come back there.
Though you didn't crosspost these yesterday, you made three posts, that had
to do with ( what you think is) bad PS3 news and posted it in the Xbox
groups. WTF is up with that, and if that isn't trolling, I don't know what
is.
That's not trolling. The goal of a troll's post is to goad
"legitimate" members of a forum into giving a heated response. Posting
"bad PS3 news" is not likely to incite most members of an Xbox
newsgroup. Posting "bad PS3 news" to a Playstation group, however,
would likely be trolling because Playstation fans would get defensive,
offensive, whatever and respond harshly.
I don't see why anyone would care for bad news on either side anymore. If there is news, post it. Whether it is good or bad, post it. Have people discuss the news and hypothesize on what the consequences might be. Nevertheless, if both platforms were to enjoy a good deal of good news, it would only benefit the consumer. For instance, if the PS3 suddenly had 15 great games in one month, how would that be bad for anyone who is seeing that there are only 2 or 3 good releases on the Xbox that particular month? Vice versa also applies. Many of us can afford both systems and realize that the corporations will screw us if they can afford to. In fact, if there was no better business bureau or if word of mouth didn't travel as fast through the Internet as it does, the corporations would not even have bothered to fix problems with their units in the first place, leaving us to regret our purchase much as some of us did in the 80's when the NES went out of commission for whatever reason. As a result, we should all enjoy the fact that we have a choice when gaming becomes bad on either platform. If we're looking for something great on the 360 and we can't find it, maybe we can purchase a PS3 and try out one of their titles?
I won't buy a PS3 myself even though I wish Sony well simply because the attitude with which it entered the next-generation gaming scene disgusted me beyond belief. I have yet to feel as though Sony cares about the customer and cares about providing me with an enthralling experience. Just take one recent example that confirms what I said in the previous paragraph: a) Sony refuses to fix customer's console because it is dusty, b) word of this atrocity is posted all over the Internet, c) Sony responds to claim and changes its warranty policy. Had this claim not circulated throughout the Internet, I can assure every one of you that Sony would have laughed at the customer and made him pay. It's the same with Microsoft: a) people experience RROD, b) hundreds of posts of bad experiences appear on the Internet, c) Microsoft changes warranty (eventually). I guarantee you that Microsoft would have done nothing to resolve the situation otherwise.
I love Microsoft but I don't see the point of being a fanboy. If they win me over, good for them. If they don't, I'll go elsewhere. As it is, Microsoft won me over and I'm in their camp but it's mostly because I see them as more professional than Sony as it relates to gaming.
