Holy shit ,that was the best movie based on a video game EVER!

Considering that the competition is crap like the Mario Bros. and
Street Fighter movies, I don't think that's saying much.

I here part-2 isn't going to have the same Director...that sucks..we'll
see if he/she nails the 2nd movie...WOW I saw the movie on a upscaler
and I was like OMG what a kick ass movie..the camera angles..the
lighting..sound...all right on que with the game.

The movie is not at all bad for a video game adapation, but it's not
that good a movie in general.

There was nothing scary about it and the story was shoddy at best.
They could have done a LOT more with it.

What was very well done was how the filmmaker was able to capture the
"feel" of the Silent Hill games as far as set design, cinematography,
creature design, etc. It *looked* like Silent Hill for sure.

I personally liked the janitor creature.

On a related note... did anyone see the conceptual art for the next
Silent Hill game? EGM had a cover story about it and the first
creature they showed was called Siam, which is a cool name for the
concept, but the thing looked WAY too much like something out of Clive
Barker's Hellraiser world.

(cough) The original Silent Hill is a Hellraiser ripoff. (laugh)
