Microsoft doesn't care about giving gamers a

What do you think Sony wants, your love?

Why put
your trust in a company that has a history of creating monopolies and
charging outrageous prices for their software?

As opposed to putting your trust in a company that has a history if
creating closed proprietary formats, draconian DRM schemes, and
rootkits?

It's called a proven track record.

A lot of people used the same logic to argue that Nintendo would crush
Sony when they released the PS1.

If you want to talk history, Xbox 360 had a horrible launch with games
like Kameo and Perfect Dark totally tanking. This time last year,
there was only like 2 good games for Xbox.

This time last year, the 360 was about to release Gears of War. Is
YOUR Gears of War coming out this year? Hell, do you even have a Dead
Rising?

I'm sure if gamers would eagerly learn Linux when they
realize that they could come hundreds of video files to the hard
drive. You try that crap with Microsoft, and they void your warranty
asap. Nice guys.

True. Too bad Sony crippled it by not allowed it GPU access.

Have you even tried PS3's online service? They have an easy to use
download management that can queue up downloads and run in the
background. You also get a buddy messaging system, lag free games
even if you are downloading files. Files are easy to locate and
delete, and games like Resistance have all the ranking crap that Xbox
lovers fawn over. Online play is about the gameplay, not the frilly
crap, and games like Warhawk online are among the best online
experience that you can have.

Unfortunately, it suffers from 2 problems. It's all over the map (no
consistency) and it takes FOREVER to download anything. Seriously, I
can understand why the former is a problem, but what's up with those
LONG download times? Can't Sony afford some frikkin' bandwidth?

Two Worlds is one of the few RPG titles for Xbox. When you only have
a handful to choose from, a big stinking turd of a game is pretty bad.

Strange point for a PS3 fan. The 360 has a lot more RPG's than the
PS3. And the 360 has both Western and Japanese RPG's. With the
exception of Oblivion, the PS3 has JRPG's only. Nothing against
JRPG's, but I like to play my RPG's off the rail with a character who
isn't a hermaphrodite.

Rockstar is
producing an exclusive title for the PS3.

Yes, Rockstar is happy to take Sony's money. They've also taken MS's
money for exclusives. What's your point?

Not sure what your point is. Go to Gamespot and sort their list of
PS2 RPGS. You will find 10 - 20 in the 8.0 or higher rating. Sales
numbers are irrelevant.

I think developers might disagree. You can bet their stockholders
certainly do.

Oh yeah... what the hell is Folklore?

Another PS3 exclusive coming out in a few weeks. It features gorgeous
visuals and unique RPG gameplay.

Played it, have you? Or are you just parroting the PR package?

Killer gameplay and graphics.

You mean like the kind found in Dead Rising, Gears of War, and
Bioshock? You know, the "This game has actually been released and
reviewed and not just hyped at some trade show" type of killer
gameplay and graphics.

As pointed earlier, I can play all these games on my PC. You lose.

PC gamers don't buy consoles. They aren't going to support EITHER
console. What's new?
