IGN gives it a 7.0 as does their UK sister site. Edge UK gives it a

IGN UK (same score but a meaner review)http://ps3.ign.com/articles/815/815031p1.html
The good bit:
"First, and most immediately obvious, it's a truly gorgeous game.
Everything from the beautifully designed, slickly animated characters
to those magnificent, omnipresent sweeping vistas is a glory to
behold. What's more, while your eyes are busy welling with tears of
appreciation, your ears can waggle happily at some stunning effects
work, the epic orchestral score and voice acting full of genuine
gravitas. Without a doubt, if you're looking for a game to demonstrate
the potential of your PS3 and bring your smug, 360-humping friends
down a few notches, Heavenly Sword provides as much a sensory overload
as you're likely to need."
the bad bit:
"throughout you can't shake the feeling that you're playing a tangled
mess of brilliant ideas desperately failing to wrestle themselves free
from some incredibly misguided implementation. For instance, it's a
serious misstep when the strongest aspect of your game - sword play -
is sidelined for almost 50 percent of its runtime. The very first
level employs a massively hobbled version of the combat system which
simply has none of the visceral thrill or satisfaction of the fully-
fledged engine. Throw in the decision to completely remove sword
fighting again in chapter three (of six, one of which is simply a boss
fight), replaced by some over-egged archery, then cripple it later
still with some pretty but soulless silliness, and it adds up to maybe
three to four hours of decent combat in a game which takes a rather
embarrassing, and distinctly un-epic, six or seven hours to beat."
Doesn't look like the Edge review is online anywhere yet, score is

I'll reserve final judgment until we get closer to a release, but
based on this.. ouch! This was the one game that might make the PS3 a
worth while investment for those hard core gamers looking to own all
three systems.
Yes, you stupid troll... I can feel how disappointed you are from
here. You are truly "hurt".
If it fails to live up to the hype the PS3 will truely
have no compelling exclusives this Holiday season and most of its
cross-platform titles will continue the trend of looking and playing
better on XBox 360.
In your imagination they look and play better. In reality, there is
minimal or no difference (unless you slow the tape down like fanboy
sites have resorted to).
PS3 owners have to be shaking their heads in
disbelief and how much SONY has failed them, I would say lied to them
as well.
Yes, just like Microsoft "lied" to its owners with its miserable
lineup until Gears of War launched. Keep spinning, loser.- Hide quoted text -
