Because 10/10 is as high as you can get. If I earn 10/10 or 100% on a

test, that means I answered everything correctly. There is nothing at

10/10, 5/5, 100% score. That's my view of what scores represent,

IF a 10 represents a perfect score, then no game should ever get a
10... the number should just be used to represent the scale in use.
There's no such thing as a perfect game (unless you're an awesome
pitcher).

That was exactly my point the first time I started a thread about Bioshock
receiving 10/10 scores from 11 different sites/magazines. There is no such
thing as a perfect game.

My old magazine used a percentage ratings system. The highest score we gave
out, for "Game of the Year" type titles, was usually a 98%. Unfortunately,
one reviewer game GTA: San Andreas a 100%, but other than that, we never
gave a 100% score because we didn't think any game was ever beyond
criticism. At least, we never found one that didn't have flaws or lacked
