Look at OXM (Official Xbox Magazine) ratings system ....11 is perfect 10
is a classic Editors choice. I think what confuses people is when some
reviewers say 10 out of 10. That would mean perfect in there system. But
OXM says no game will ever be perfect ,its nearly impossible and they've
never given a perfect score which would be 11.
That's an interesting way to do it.
I simply don't think it's reasonable to assume that anything can ever
be perfect...
And I think if you're going to use a scale system of rating, it has to
be feasible to achieve every score on that scale.
I don't think rating something at the highest point on the scale
should be an indication that the rater thinks it's perfect... they
just think it's good enough to be given the highest score possible.
It's not like these are exams where you can say 100% means
definitively that you got every single question right and thus you
have a perfect score.
Ratings are a more subjective activity... there is no black and white,
right and wrong.
