This game looks like a real winner. It really shows that they put a lot

I did enjoy the demo. The atmosphere of the game was creepy (at first
anyway) and the graphics were nice (except for the human modeling, as
others have mentioned). It definitely had top-of-the line sound, voice-
overs, and music. Everything had a nice 30's-40's period feel
(appropriate, since the city was established in the 40's and
apparently cut off from the rest of the world for some time).
Having said that, I don't think I'll buy the game though. The
atmosphere was cool at first but I suspect it will get old pretty
quickly. And, before you know it, you'll be playing just another in a
long line of FPS's on rails. Like Doom 3, it's pretty cool at first,
but it will probably get old after a while.
Story-wise, it's pretty weak too. Just a bunch of the standard
videogame cliches:
1) Evil scientist/corporation starts experimenting with humans and
turns them into monsters, leading to unexpected consequences
2) Creepy little girls (seriously, even bad Japanese horror directors
are starting to get tired of this one)
3) Doors and passages that conveniently open and shut to make sure you
stay on the rails
4) Medpacks that miraculously heal severe wounds, and which are found
in inappropriate places. Didn't Halo 2 teach us ANYTHING?
5) etc., etc., etc.
It's kind reminds me of a watered-down version of Half-Life 2.
