Quoting the article: "Microsoft's recent surge of publicity from their
upcoming Elite SKU has had relatively mixed reviews. While it does add
an increased functionality with an HDMI port, it still upset many of
the current Xbox 360 owners, leaving them feeling more like beta
testers."
Beta testing that failed miserably.
VERY successful beta test over here.
Sadly you're the MINORITY of reality if you purchased a 360 with in the 1st
6 months of it's release.
Of all the people I play online with who purchased their 360 at launch
or near launch (about three dozen people), only one of them have had
any problems with their 360 crashing. That person ended up having to
obtain one of those cardboard coffins from Microsoft.
Of course, three dozen people is certainly not indicative of the
entire consumer base, but at the same time to go from 1 in 30+ to 16
or 17 in 30+ is quite a jump as well, statistically speaking.
