Well, they *COULD* replace the BRD drive with a DVD drive so that the
unit is much cheaper. That, and some worthwhile games, and I'd pick
one up.

trust me, when you pick up an hdtv in 3 to 6 months, you'll thank Sony for
including blu-ray

I've had an HDTV for over two years now. In fact, I have 3 of them in
my house (bedroom, living room, den). Not a one is 1080p, though, and
I won't pick up a 1080p one until the prices go down below what I paid
for my main HDTV in the living room *and* Blu-Ray/HD-DVD costs have
gone down to a more reasonable pricing (since there's nothing else to
use 1080p for seeing as how HDTV broadcasts don't need to be anymore
than 720p).

By the time my criteria has been fulfilled, there will be cheaper hi-
def movie options than the PS3.
