Call Of Duty 2
Rise Of The Dead
Oblivion
God Of War

Gears of War and Dead Rising?

Don't get the Core system, get the Premium with the hard drive,
wireless controller headset and trial to Xbox Live Gold minimum, get
the package Otherwise you will likely end up buying them and costing
you more. Do exactly what Doug said, buy an extended warranty. If you
don't have a store that offers it, get the one from Microsoft. Use
Microsoft as the last resort, but get something. Xboxs and laptops are
the only things I get extended warranties on.

$400 + extended warranty (which is pretty much essential) on a 360 = same
price of a PS3, which includes blu-ray, runs near silently, won't 'ring of
death', and is just a remarkable piece of hardware...the 'there are no games
on PS3' argument doesn't really hold true anymore either:

Resistance: Fall of Man
VirtuaFighter 5
MotorStorm
F1

are all solid, and plenty of backwards compatable (Jak/Ratchet/God of Wars
anyone?) and multi-platform games are already released or will be released
in the near future, some of which are, arguably, even better on PS3, like
Oblivion.

not to disparage the 360, as I own one and have had plenty of fun with it
this past year or so, but if my PS3 were James Bond, my 360 would be Larry
the Cable Guy. and not just because it needs so many cables to achieve
similar functionality to the PS3, but more because it's loud, obnoxious, and
well, just kinda tacky.

that said, I'm anxious for Mass Effect and Fable 2 on the 360,

(and Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Heavenly Sword for PS3...)
