Mine took 3 weeks

Well, today makes it 2 months for me. Mine broke on January 12th and I
called Microsoft on Jan. 13th. At first they said they'd send a shipping
box asap. Then, after two weeks of nothing showing up I called them
again. I was told that they had somehow lost my account, making me start
a new one. Then, two and a half weeks later and after a number of phone
calls I received my empty shipping box. After I shipped this to them
Microsoft managed to lose it at their depot. Now I'm dealing with a
"specialist" at Microsoft, and for the last two weeks I've been told
"Sorry sir, we don't know how this has happened" and "we're shipping a
replacement asap". As of yet, nothing. Meanwhile my xbox live account is
running, and all the games that I bought around Christmas are just
sitting there. I've reached the point that with my last email to then I
simply asked for my money back. This has gone on far too long.
I'm in Canada by the way. One rep. that I had talked with told me that
they ended up having massive problems at the Canadian depot and that a MS
rep. was going there to try to clear things up.
I still don't have my 360 yet.

Microsoft seems to really not get it, as far as this aspect of the
console business is concerned. I had a similar problem with sending
in my OG Xbox. Multiple phone calls were required, and it took over a
month (nothing compared to your situation). I didn't even get a free
shipping box! I was pretty much told contradictory things at every
turn, and outright lied to a few times. I'd start threatening legal
action if I were you.....does Canada have an equivalent to a deceptive
business practices act? At the very least, MS should provide an extra
month of Xbox Live to you for free. I'm shocked that the company
which can design such great gamepads as the Controller S and the 360
controller can also screw the pooch so completely in the customer
service department.
