I created my Xbox Live account/gamertag on my new Xbox 360. I also
have an old Xbox that I would like my Live account to work on. The
reason why is because Phantasy Star Online Ep 1 & 2 won't even get to
the title screen without an Xbox Live account on that original Xbox.
It requires one to play even in the offline mode. I've searched
through the bowels of MS's knowledge database about this but cannot
find a mention. Does anyone know if you can do this and what the steps
are? Do I just 'recover' my active account on my original Xbox (which
requres the credit card number, phone number, etc.)? I would not like
to do this if it will mess up my account on my 360... erasing
achievements or saves. Thanks for any help.
You can continue to use it on an Xbox 1 even if its gold. in fact
before i got my 360 i reactivated my live on regular xbox first. the
service rep automatically converted it to a gold account, before i
even bought a 360! it worked just fine. in fact i even receive game
invites from people still using an Xbox 1!
