do I need the original xbox 360 HDD to connect to Live/play original xbox games, or can I hook any USB hdd?Since a USB HDD is going to need drivers that 360 can't
provide or recognize, that wouldn't work anyway.
When I got my 360, it was the Core box (they were sold
out of the Premium), so I also bought a memory card.
Live worked just fine, and I hadn't tried the original
XBox games on it yet. But given the better availability
of the Premium now, if you haven't got a 360 yet,
I'd go with that one. When E3 was coming up, I found that
I would need the HDD for the goodies, so I ended up doing
a trade/cash deal for one.
