Hi -

I created a USB to arcade control panel harness, and here's some
information about it.

This provides USB support for arcade controls on any device or
emulator
that supports USB.  All you have to do is connect your buttons and
controls to the harness, and plug the USB connector into your gaming
console, PC, Mac, or other hardware, and that's it.

I have even created a controller configuration file for MAME so that
it
can be selected in the graphical interface/emulator command line, with
zero configuration necessary.  This kit completely eliminates the need
for interfaces that use antiquated keyboard mappings or other means to
control arcade hardware, which also makes it compatible with many more
devices - from PC emulators (Stella, WinUAE, C64) to PSP to the PS3.

It also saves you the time and effort to create your own harness and
wiring as well.

You can use the supplied MAME configuration file or configure it
hundreds of different ways yourself.  Each set of wires is
approximately
2' (.6M) giving you the range to create small or large control panels.

You can also take most any 1P arcade joystick/button control panel and
immediately convert it to USB for home use.

For more information or to ask questions, please feel free to e-mail
me.
I also sell these kits complete with a full set of Happ Controls
hardware (Ultimate joystick, 10 buttons, etc) for an extra $30.  This
includes white 1P/2P start buttons, green for coin/credit, black for
pause, and your choice of black or blue stick and buttons for
gameplay.

FREE USPS Priority Mail shipping for all USA orders.

This device supports (10) total buttons and (1) joystick, and
everything
comes pre-labeled for easy installation.  The buttons are MAME-mapped
as
follows:

1.  Buttons 1-6 are for normal game-play and the use of 6 buttons will
support 99% of all arcade games, including classics, Neo-Geo,
fighters,
etc.

2.  The remaining (4) buttons are mapped to "1P start", "2P start",
"coin/credit", "pause".  In MAME using coin/pause simultaneously is
the
equivalent of "ESC".

**  None of the original mappings in MAME are overwritten with this
configuration file, so you can still use a keyboard and mouse without
any interference (even if they are USB devices).

3.  For non-MAME use, the buttons are mapped to the standard USB
joystick and button mappings (1-10) so using this kit is as simple as
plugging in any USB gamepad or joystick.

How about telling us how you made it. Is it just the board out of a
keyboard inside that thing?
