hi. winrar is indeed what you need. do the following. select all files in
explorer. right click select add to archive... then select the "files" tab
and select "put each file into seperate archive. and there you have it!

I have a list of about 100 rom files, all uncompressed. I now want to
compress them all into single files. i.e. say i have the files
Alex Kidd (E).smd
After Burner.smd
..
Sonic the Hedgehog.smd

i would want the result to be
Alex Kidd (E).zip
After Burner.zip
..
Sonic the Hedgehog.zip

I know how to compress each file manually, but i was wondering if
there was a way to do it automatically. I've tried lots of different
ways but I just keep getting all the files compressed into the one zip
file. I am using WinRar, is it possible to do what I want with this
software, or do i need something different. How to do it is probably
staring me in the face lol
