If I painted the glass black then I would not see the print. The print
hides everything in the cabinet but the monitor. Right now the print is
taped in the corners to the glass but it is sagging in the middle and is not
touching the glass. The set up is glass then the print and a small airspace
of about an inch then the monitor. I do not want any attachments to the
glass to be seen from the front of the glass.
You can get a certain type poster board at Hobby Lobby. (Cant recall right now what they call it.)
It is about a 1/4" thick, and is made out of something similar to styrofoam with a paper skin.
The boards come in many colors, black being one.
You could use this, cut out for the monitor, then sandwich the print between this and the plexiglass.
This is what I used on my last two arcades. I have MDF board around the monitor, then the black board is sandwiched between the mdf and plexiglass. The black poster board comes up to the very edge of the monitor screen.
I have also placed arcade character pics, cut out to the edge of the pic, between the board and the plexi. Just a small spot of elmers glue, smeared thin on the back of the pic, holds the pic in place.
I think this looks real good, and I plan to use the same stuff on my next arcade.
I can send you a pic, if you give me your email.
