[OT] Pan Newsreader

I've recently switched to Linux for Internet activities, such as
browsing, email, IRC, and the newsgroups. I have to admit I like PAN as a
newsreader, but despite the color settings in preferences I cannot get
unread articals to show up in red, like I have it setup. Is there
something I missing?
