Well, "dude", your intentions may be laudable, but your methods are not.
You are NOT doing the right thing by trolling your intentions in
newsgroups, except those which specifically encourage such (of which, I
know of none).

Do we *know* that he's posted to more than one group? ISTR that
there's been a great deal of almost-advertising wrt Dave's BBQ. (not
that plumping for a friend to do well is a BAD thing, okay?)

Looks to me like the man is asking for advice, not trying to push his
product at us.

Has afb gone so far to the 'just us chickens' side of things that a
person can't ask advice? How would--for example, I--be treated if I
asked for help with starting up a BBQ place? Not that I'm about to
try that--FAR too much I don't know about the biz, and I don't have
any capital.
