Took her in for a minor procedure and it turned into emergency surgery -
with the vet telling me she might not make it through, and if she did,
there were likely to be complications afterwards. Didn't have much of a
choice, given the condition - it was either that or let her live in pain
for however much longer she has left, and I'm not ready to put her down,
she still has way too much spirit and life left.

Happily, she pulled through just fine, they had me take her home on
Thursday instead of staying overnight like they'd originally planned,
and when I took her back yesterday, the vet was amazed at how well she
was doing. She goes back today to remove a surgical drain that they
originally weren't planning to take out until Tuesday or so.

She's downstair scarfing down food like she hadn't eaten in weeks, the
first big meal she's felt like eating since she came home. Yay!

So, for a while, any great fashion finds I post about will be from
Goodwill or the like :-). At least, I've now got a whole lot more
points on my Nordie's Visa.
