What's that scent?

I'm not totally allergic to all perfume, but I am pretty limited to
what I can wear: Safari by Ralph Lauren, Anastasia (is that
correct--have not been able to find it for so long. . .), White Linen
by Estee Lauder, Gloria Vanderbilt's "Vanderbilt," Pavlova, Anais
Anais, Poison (the one that came out in the 80s). (I guess I haven't
tried many new scents lately!)
There is one scent, however, that gives me such a bad headache I am in
bed for days. I'm not sure it is even a specific perfume. It is
something that I have noticed only on older women (older than me; 60+).
Could be a face power, hairspray. It's a suffocating, heavy, very
powerful, baby-powder-on-steroids kind of scent. Maybe like White
Shoulders, but it's not that. I mean, if I briefly walk by someone
wearing this stuff, I go home with that scent all over my clothes and
hair.
It won't do me any good to know, but it is just driving me crazy.
