I'm watching Glamour's 50 Dos & Don'ts on the Style network--and I
disagree with some of the DON'Ts. The one that inspired me to post this
was: No colored hose. Then they showed a variety of legs, some from
runway shows, some from the street, clad in colorful hose. I *love*
colorful tights--whole legs' worth or just a bit between boot and hemline.
Michael Kors was one of the fashion nazis declaring "never" to colored
tights, but I could swear that he has featured colorful opaque tights in
fairly recent runway shows.

They also dissed any/all lace on clothes, saying it only belongs on
tablecloths.

(I howled when I saw the part in which Paris Hilton's mother decries "too
much bling"!)

I'm just saying NO to DOs & DON'Ts!

I'm with you. The only thing I say 'never' to is people that say 'never'!
I govern my own style (painful though it may be) and refuse to be put off
things that look great on me or give me preverse enjoyment to wear!
