My skincare routine is quite fickle but my skin has changed quite a bit
from having chemo. My last treatment was Dec 12th but I am still
finding my skin to be sensitive and slightly dry. Here is what's
working for me lately..
AM
Gentle lotion cleanser - There are so many to like! Right now I am
using Neutrogena's extremely gentle cleanser. I also love Clarins's
lotion cleanser for dry skin, Boots' cucumber cleanser, Weleda's almond
cleanser and wild rose cleansing lotion.
Dr. Hauschka Quince Day Cream - This is a great balance between being
slightly matte and giving enough moisture. No bells or whistles with
this one, just a good simple under makeup cream. I might try Eve Lom's
new Day Cream with SPF 15 next... it has an incredible texture.
Estee Lauder Daywear spf eyecare - Lovely light reflecting and just
enough moisture which being too rich or too drying. Sadly
discontinued.
PM
Eve Lom Cleansing Cream - Has really helped the texture and glow of my
skin. I only use it when I'm wearing makeup. If I haven't had makeup
on then I just have a go with one of the lotion cleansers again.
Guerlain Midnight Secret radiance booster - This stuff is magical!
Expensive but worth it. My skin looks wonderful when I wake up in the
morning.
For night, I rotate around several eye creams too heavy for daytime:
Dr. Hauschka eye cream
Annick Goutal Creme splendide pour les yeux
SkinMed serum
I do love using scrubs but only very gentle ones work right now. Stila
Petal infusions is lovely, or Origins Modern Friction. Also like Estee
Lauder's Idealist scrub that heats up.
I love talking about skincare---could do it all day!
