Re: lowlights/highlights question



What a frustrating experience for you. I've only had lowlights a few
times and that was to offset my too blond hair at the time so I can't
say whether it should or shouldn't be done the same time as
highlighting. Maybe the best thing to do is go to a salon where they
have a professional colorist (someone who only does hair color). Have
that person do your color and someone else style your hair. As for
using texturizing shears on your hair, that's not uncommon and I
wouldn't call it a gimmick, but it is a way to achieve a certain look,
one which you obviously like. Try to find a salon that will give you a
consultation first before hand and, if you have pictures of yourself
with the hair you liked, bring them with you so they can see the look
you're going for and good luck!
