I quite enjoyed Karen Traviss's "Rupublic Commando" books, the third's coming out soon which I'm quite looking forward to. Not checked out her book(s?) in Legacy of the Force yet though. I'll probably wait until they're all on paperback for that series.
Judging by "Darth Bane: Path of Destruction" Drew Karpyshyn is quite a good author as well. Not ready any of his other novels though.
